App Store

How to install apps or games from Google Play Store web page on Android devices

People usually download and install the apps or games they want from the app store on their devices, such as smartphones or tablets. However, you can also download and install apps and games on your Android devices from Google Play Store official web page.

It could sound weird, but if you log in to your Google account from a PC or laptop, you can download and install apps or games on your devices. Therefore, you can download apps or games from your PC or laptop without having your device in front of you, later you can install them on your smartphone or tablet.

Steps of the installation

For carrying out the installation of apps from Google Play web on your Android device, you have to follow the next simple steps:

1. Log in to your Google account

In order to download and install apps and games from the official web page of Google Play Store on an Android device, you only need to log in to your Google account (the same you have on your Android device).

People usually have already a Google account when they have an Android device, since Android users need a Google account in order to download and install the apps they need during the day, but in case you do not have one, anyone can create it easily and in a short time.

2. Download

Once you have logged in to your Google account in both devices (for example, smartphone and PC), you will not need to use your Android device for the time being.

It’s time to explore the Google Play Store from your PC or laptop, using the official web page of Google Play Store. Once you have decided which app to install, click on “Install”. After clicking on the “Install” button, a new box will appear with some information. It will show you the different devices you have associated with the same Google account. Therefore, you can download and install the app on any of those devices.

3. Installation

All the devices with the same Google account will appear in a drop-down menu. You have to look for the device you want to install the app, and select it.

The official web page of the Google Play Store does not take into account the version of your Android device or the country where you are, so it will show you all the apps available although you cannot run it. Anyway, the Google Play Store will show you a message saying: “Your device is not compatible with this version”.

Before finishing downloading and installing that app or game on your Android device, you will see a new message: “(name of the app/game) will be installed on your device soon”. The only thing you have to do now is to wait some minutes to get this new app or game on your Android device.

You need to know that the app or game you want to get will download and install on your Android device when it gets some Internet connection, so assure yourself your device has connected to the Internet or a Wi-Fi network.
